MUNICIPAL CULTURAL SERVICE
Municipal Cultural Service is the entity that takes care of organizing cultural and leisure activities from Huarte’s City Council.
First of all, it is a place for cultural and social participation where you can enjoy of artistic and cultural events.
Furthermore, we understand the Culture Center as a meeting place, a place for relationships, favoring and building between all of us the culture of our village. If you live in Huarte, every month you will receive on your mailbox the monthly cultural agenda with all the activities related to Culture and Youth.
You can also pick them at the Culture Center or at the Youth Site.
In the Culture Center You can find: Artistic and cultural monthly schedule, exhibitions, theatre and musical shows, both in hall and in street, creative workshops, talks, activities for families and
children etc.
Public Library: You can join the Library through the membership card, and get to the free loan
of books, CDs and DVDs, There are also rooms where you can study, read newspapers, surf
on the internet for free or let the children read books or do their homework.
Music School: Where children and adults learn music and playing instruments from October
to June.
Retired People’s Club: Where elderly people can enjoy a place for their leisure an relation.
PLAZALDEA
The City Council has multipurpose rooms, halls and zones to fulfill the need of groups, association and inhabitants of Huarte. This service offers a free cession of rooms for associations’ headquarters, rehearsals, meetings and socio-cultural activities with no profit motive in mind, and organized by groups
or inhabitants having their seat in Huarte. In addition, rooms are rented for profitable or particular activities, according to de fees fixed by the City Council every year.
In Plazaldea there are also the following services:
1- “Bebeteca”
2- “Jubiloteca”
3- A soundproof rehearsal room and a room for musical rehearsals
4- Rooms for creative workshops
5- 2 rooms for physical activities
6- Rooms for meeting

We can also get you in touch with other people and groups of Huarte who work for the culture in our village, whom you can share your cultural interests so you can participate organizing activities and get to know your neighbours.

MUSIC SCHOOL
Has a wide range of SPECIALITIES:
Musical Initiation (for groups of 5-6 year-olds), musical theory, choral singing, instrumental ensemble, accordion, clarinet, flute, classical guitar, electric guitar, percussion, piano, saxophone, trumpet, txistu (Basque flute) and violin.
